New Zealand’s biggest commercial and industrial real estate agency, Bayleys, has re-signed its affiliate status with global commercial real estate firm, Cushman & Wakefield.
Bayleys Real Estate managing director Mike Bayley said the branding partnership with Cushman & Wakefield was a winning ‘two-way’ street for both businesses.
Bayleys is the largest privately owned real estate company in New Zealand with more than 1800 staff nationally, which combined with Cushman & Wakefield’s global reach and 45,000 employees around the world provides clients with the most comprehensive commercial property service in the market.
The joint reach of Bayleys and Cushman & Wakefield in New Zealand spans:
- 83 offices
- 2000 employees
- 4,480 properties under management – totaling 7.8 million square metres of property under management
- A $2.3 billion commercial property portfolio under management
- More than 2300 commercial and industrial sales and leasing transactions completed annually
- More than $11 billion of property sold per annum.
“Not only does our affiliation with the Cushman & Wakefield brand allow Bayleys to promote appropriate New Zealand properties to a global stage, but it also enables our affiliate partners around the world to directly introduce their client lists - predominantly larger corporates with a global footprint and high net-worth individuals - to our domestic database,” Mr Bayley said.
“Real estate is essentially about who you know. Being part of Cushman & Wakefield’s global alliance means a lot more potential buyers and tenants around the world can be introduced to the New Zealand property market by their trusted local real estate professional…. be they in Beijing, Sydney, Mumbai, London, Paris, or New York,” Mr Bayley added.
“Our ongoing involvement with the global Cushman & Wakefield platform means New Zealand properties can truly be showcased on the international stage. That’s a benefit for local vendors and landlords – enabling Bayleys to leave no stone unturned in the marketing of their real estate asset.”
Cushman & Wakefield’s New Zealand integrated facilities management managing director, Paul Amato, said the company’s 71-year old business in the country was founded in facilities management, project management and trades services to both the corporate sector and major government departments.
“Our specialist knowledge of engineering, maintenance, sustainability and asset management is something that we can offer to Bayleys’ client base” added Mr Amato.
“This alliance is another example of Cushman & Wakefield’s entrepreneurial spirit, our ability to see things differently and take a fresh approach to ensure our clients can be what’s next in commercial real estate, which is consistent with Bayleys’ culture,” Mr Amato added.
Mr Bayley said the agency’s full-service product suite – encompassing not only transactionary activities such as sales and leasing, but also valuations, property management, and property operations advisory resources - also dove-tailed into the requirements of Cushman & Wakefield’s international customers looking for representation in New Zealand.
“Bayleys’ international alliance with Cushman & Wakefield provides us with unparalleled access to the latest global innovations, technology, systems, and market research – all enabling Bayleys to remain the momentum player in all sectors of New Zealand’s real estate market.”
